National Beer Day commemorates the passage of the Cullen-Harrison Act, which allowed Americans to legally purchase beer and wine, capped at 3.2% by weight, for the first time since Prohibition began. The legislation took effect April 7, 1933, and set the stage for the eventual repeal of the 18th Amendment later that year, on Dec. 5, 1933.

National Beer Day is a festive celebration of brewing heritage, craft beer culture, and the freedom to raise a glass with friends and family.

To help your brewery celebrate and spread the word, the Brewers Association will create a readymade marketing toolkit (available March 4).
