The Brewers Association (BA) invites Export Development Program member breweries to participate in the 2026 Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival taking place October 23-24.
The Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival is one of Scandinavia’s largest trade and consumer shows, serving as a quality platform for promoting US beer already in-market alongside US breweries interested in the Swedish market.
The 2026 festival marks the event’s 34th year and the Brewers Association’s 22nd participation. Past involvement has led to new distribution opportunities and strengthened promotion of U.S. craft beer across Sweden’s retail monopoly, the on-premise sector, and broader Scandinavian markets.
EDP member brewery representatives are invited to apply to participate in person as part of an organized trade mission surrounding the event.
Brewers Association members are encouraged to watch the Collab Hour webinar, Selling Craft Beer in Sweden, hosted by representatives from Sweden’s government alcohol buyers. Sweden consistently ranks in the top five markets for American craft beer globally.

Registration Instructions
Note: Registering beer for shipment and trade mission travel applications requires the completion of separate registration forms.
- Trade Mission Travel Application – The application for trade mission travel can be found in the following section titled “Travel & Trade Mission Application”. Travel is not a requirement to send beer for the event. If you do not plan to apply for trade mission travel OR you have already completed an application, please proceed to step 2. Applications for travel will not be accepted after August 14.
- Beer Registration – Register your brewery and beers to be included in a consolidated shipment to Sweden via the Registration Form at the bottom of this page no later than September 11.
- Deliver beer to the east coast consolidation warehouse no later than September 18.
- For palletized shipment, the carrier must contact the Accem warehouse at inbound@accem.com at least one business day before delivery to schedule an inbound appointment. In the request, provide the name of the brewery and that the shipment is part of the consolidation for the Brewers Association Sweden shipment.
- Please download this label and add your brewery name, box/case number, and total number of boxes/cases shipped to each case (1 of 5, 2 of 5…). Record the contents of each box, which will be shared with your tracking information. Cases not labeled properly or arriving after the deadline are not guaranteed inclusion in the consolidated shipment. It is highly recommended that you ship your beer early due to reports of recurring delays in shipping.
- Notice: The consolidation of samples for Sweden overlaps with the consolidation for competition entrants in the Brussels Beer Challenge. EDP members may ship samples for both activities together, but each case box must be labeled accordingly to ensure samples are palletized accordingly.
- Email EDPShipping@BrewersAssociation.org before or immediately after shipping with your tracking information, the number of boxes/cases shipped (even if shipping palletized), individual box/case contents, and/or any questions you may have regarding this consolidation.

Sweden Trade Mission Application
The Brewers Association will be hosting a trade mission to Sweden centered around the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival. The trade mission will enable participating breweries to meet with importers, visit retail locations and HORECA accounts, attend media functions, and participate in other activities that promote American craft beer in the market. This is an opportunity both for breweries that have beer in the market and breweries that are looking to enter Sweden. Brewery representative presence enhances the impact of promoting American craft beer abroad and provides a valuable opportunity for brewery staff to better understand market opportunities.
The EDP has set aside a budget to offer travel assistance in the form of reimbursement for certain expenses for brewery representatives traveling to Stockholm as part of this BA mission. Participants will be expected to represent the BA and American craft beer industry generally, work the festival on behalf of the BA, and participate in other organized EDP activities. Interested brewery staff are asked to complete the online application by August 14. Review and selection of applications will take place on an ongoing basis and will be determined using criteria including the timing of application, number of applicants, and application alignment with the activity’s mission and goals.
