The Brewers Association (BA) invites Export Development Program member breweries to participate in the 2025 Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival.
The Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival is one of Scandinavia’s largest trade and consumer shows, serving as a quality platform for promoting US beer already in-market alongside US breweries interested in the Swedish market.
2025 marks the 33rd anniversary of the event’s occurrence and the Brewers Association’s 21st appearance at the festival. Previous visits have resulted in new distribution and continued promotion of existing U.S. craft beer sold in Sweden’s retail monopoly, the local on-premise sector, and elsewhere in Scandinavia.
EDP member brewery representatives are invited to apply to participate in person as part of an organized trade mission surrounding the event.
Brewers Association members are encouraged to watch the Collab Hour webinar, Selling Craft Beer in Sweden, hosted by representatives from Sweden’s government alcohol buyers. Sweden consistently ranks in the top five markets for American craft beer globally.

Brewers Association Trade Mission Application
The Brewers Association will be hosting a trade mission to Sweden centered around the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival. The trade mission will enable participating breweries to meet with importers, visit retail locations and HORECA accounts, attend media functions, and participate in other activities that promote American craft beer in the market. This is an opportunity both for breweries that have beer in the market and breweries that are looking to enter Sweden. Brewery representative presence enhances the impact of promoting American craft beer abroad and provides a valuable opportunity for brewery staff to better understand market opportunities.
The EDP has set aside a budget to offer travel assistance in the form of reimbursement for certain expenses for brewery representatives traveling to Stockholm as part of this BA mission. Participants will be expected to represent the BA and American craft beer industry generally, work the festival on behalf of the BA, and participate in other organized EDP activities. Interested brewery staff are asked to complete the online application by August 15. Review and selection of applications will take place on an ongoing basis and will be determined using criteria including the timing of application, number of applicants, and application alignment with the activity’s mission and goals.Â
