Brewers continue to face supply chain uncertainty stemming from actual and threatened tariffs. On May 23, the President announced a 50% tariff on all goods coming from the European Union (EU), initially announced to start on June 1. The new tariffs’ effective date was then pushed back to a July 9 deadline, while the U.S. and EU continue negotiations. July 9 is also the date for tariffs on goods from numerous countries to rise above the current 10% percent baseline, pending the outcome of multiple trade negotiations.
