The new administration has indefinitely suspended the proposed heat illness and injury rule that OSHA proposed in 2024. That suspension pending review, ordered by the President immediately after taking office, does not have a specific end date. Few expect the current administration to adopt the rules proposed by the Biden Administration, but it remains unclear whether the heat rules will be amended or shelved entirely.
