Despite a positive response from many decisionmakers in the legislature, interest in the issue from both the regulatory body of the state and the governor’s office, a very well-attended and enthusiastic hill climb, and substantial resources from the BA for a targeted ad blitz, the bill never really broke through. The bill will return next session.
