Kaylyn Kirkpatrick is the director of education for the Brewers Association where she works diligently to ensure members are equipped with the educational resources they need to thrive and survive. Previously, Kaylyn managed the Cornell University Brewing Extension program where she worked to develop and facilitate resources for the craft beer community in New York state. She got her start in beer working in quality assurance at New Belgium Brewing Company. Kaylyn has an academic background in brewing science, having completed an M.S. at Oregon State University where she led the first investigations into "hop creep" as well as earning the prestigious Diploma in Brewing from the Institute of Brewing & Distilling in London.

Kaylyn is an active competition beer judge, having participated in regional, national, and international beer competitions such as the National Homebrew Competition (NHC), Great American Beer Festival® (GABF®), and World Beer Cup® (WBC). She proudly serves on the Master Brewers Association of the Americas (MBAA) National Technical Committee and the American Society of Brewing Chemists (ASBC) Webinar Subcommittee. She is the author of the eCornell Craft Brewing course, a crash course in beer ingredients and commercial brewing for hobbyists and professional brewers alike.

MacKenzie Staples is the educational content manager for the Brewers Association. In addition to managing the resources and articles on BrewersAssociation.org, she organizes the seminars for the Craft Brewers Conference® and Homebrew Con™, curates the webinars in the BA Collab Hour series, and serves as the staff liaison for the Taprooms Committee. She is originally from Texas where she fell in love with craft beer, and is proud to say that she has visited over 600 U.S. small and independent craft breweries.

Ann Obenchain is the Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the Brewers Association. Ann develops and leads the strategic direction of the association's marketing and communications activities, and serves as spokesperson with the media for events, including the Great American Beer Festival, Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America, World Beer Cup, and Homebrew Con.

Katie Fromuth is the Technical Brewing Projects Manager for the Brewers Association. Prior to this role she held the position of Quality Lab Director with the Fermentation Science and Technology program at Colorado State University and as Quality Lab Manager at Oskar Blues Brewery, Longmont. She received her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Health (2012) and Masters of Science in Horticulture concentrating in agricultural chemistry (2022) studying the impacts of package type on beer chemical stability. She holds a General Certificate in Brewing from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, completed the Advanced Class in Craft Malt Production, and served as an instructor for the American Society of Brewing Chemists (ASBC) Deep Dive into Quality course. From her love of this industry she’s been involved with both the ASBC Technical Committee and Master Brewers Association of the Americas Rocky Mountain District board for almost a decade. She's passionate about communicating the science and art of brewing and fermentation to spark in others curiosity and joy towards the fantastic world of fermentation.

Katie Marisic is the senior director of federal affairs at the Brewers Association. Based in Washington, D.C. she plans and executes legislative, regulatory, and political strategies to drive the association's federal affairs presence on Capitol Hill. Prior to working for the BA, Katie was vice president of political affairs at the National Association of Federal Credit Unions. She got her start in politics working on congressional campaigns during the 2006 and 2008 elections. A Pennsylvania native, Katie is a long time craft brewing supporter. In 2013 she helped to open Atlas Brew Works in Washington, D.C. When she is not advocating for the craft brewing community on Capitol Hill you can sometimes find her pouring beers at a local tasting room.
