Today at 12:00 p.m. EDT, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will begin accepting applications for Restaurant Revitalization Awards.

The Brewers Association (BA) encourages all breweries planning to apply to submit their applications as soon as possible; we expect funds to run out before all applicants receive grants.

Businesses can apply through SBA-recognized point of sale (POS) vendors or directly via the SBA’s online application portal. Participating POS providers include Square, Toast, Clover, and NCR Corporation (Aloha). Businesses working with Square or Toast do not need to register on the application portal.

If you need assistance with preparing your application, SBA recommends using RRF knowledge base support documentation or contacting the call center support line at 1-844-279-8898.

How SBA Will Prioritize Funding

For the first 21 days that the program is open, SBA will prioritize funding applications from businesses owned and controlled by women, veterans, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. Following the 21 days, all eligible applications will be funded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Help Our Push for Additional Funding

The BA has been working with Congress to advocate for more funds for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. You can help by contacting your legislators today and asking them to co-sponsor the RESTAURANTS Act (H.R. 793/S.255), legislation that would expand to the amount of funds available for Restaurant Revitalization Awards to $120 billion. Use the BA’s Contact Congress form to connect with your legislators today.
