Our recent feature covered some standout breweries in the Philadelphia area — but let’s be real: the city’s craft scene runs deeper than any single article can capture.

Here are a few more Brewers Association member breweries near the Pennsylvania Convention Center worth adding to your itinerary. Each plays a role in shaping the fabric of a vibrant, historic, and ever-evolving beer city.

Germantown plays host to Attic Brewing Company, a woman-owned neighborhood staple that pairs welcoming, laid-back vibes with a strong lineup of award-winning beers – five GABF medals and counting! Enjoy their taproom, spacious beer garden, and takes on a range of classic styles.

If your ideal stop involves both great beer and a solid meal, you’ve got options. Head to Cartesian Brewing for pale ales and pizza pies. Sure, they have more than that, but … alliteration. Chestnut Hill Brewing Co brings wood-fired pies and a diverse tap list to the table. Bonus points for their Newfoundland mascots, which you should definitely look up on their website.

Nick Mata and Sean McGuire of Future Days Beer Company.

Looking to get further out? Conshohocken Brewing Co has a strong presence, with multiple locations to the north and northwest of the city, along with a couple of World Beer Cup medals to its name.

Back in the city, the Evil Genius taproom is worth a visit for its sheer variety. Rotation is the name of the game here, with a lineup that spans everything from hop-forward IPAs to saisons, kölsches, sours, and the occasional barleywine. With that range of options, it’s an easy crowd-pleaser no matter who you’re traveling with. Equally close to the convention center, Future Days Beer Company offers cool rustic taproom vibes and a thoughtfully curated rotation of styles.

Not every brewery experience requires a taproom visit. My Local Brew Works operates with a unique model, and while you’ll want to dig into their story on your own, their beers are out in the wild – popping up on tap lists at bars around the city if you know where to look. Similarly, Space Cadet Brewing Company is currently contracting while they search for a brick-and-mortar space. That said, you can still find their beers in and around the city, both in bars and retail spots.

And if you’re stringing together multiple stops near the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Wissahickon Brewing Company’s Olde Kensington location is not to be missed. With multiple locations in the state and a World Beer Cup medal for their Devil’s Pool Imperial IPA, they’re another example of the depth this fantastic beer city has to offer.

Philadelphia’s beer scene is as diverse as the city itself, and this list is just one more window into what’s out there. Cheers, and we can’t wait to see you in Philadelphia. (You’re registered, right?)
