The Brewers Association (BA) is piloting a new online course to onboard and train staff for front-of-house taproom service positions. This course is in response to feedback from many BA members who identified a need for assistance with training materials for general taproom functions and skills.

The first four modules include:

  • Foundations of Hospitality
  • Foundations of Beer Knowledge
  • Beer Service & Draft System Essentials
  • Responsible Alcohol Service

The course is now available for free to all BA members: Front-of-House Staff Training Course

We Want Your Feedback!

This program is currently in the pilot phase, and we would like to hear Brewers Association members’ feedback. We are looking for your thoughts on the following:

  • Overall, what did you think? Did the course feel valuable? Did it miss the mark? Tell us your general thoughts!
  • What’s missing in the current modules? Are there topics that these modules should cover that we aren’t?
  • Do you have corrections? Did you notice inaccurate information? Is a link not working? See a rogue spelling error?
  • What modules should we consider adding in the future? If we were to expand this program and add more modules on areas and topics not currently covered in FOH staff onboarding and training, what would you like us to pursue next?

The feedback form is linked at the beginning and end of every module, and you can also access it here.
