For all those who are utilizing the Brewers Association’s (BA) Sustainability Benchmarking Tool, please submit your 2020 calendar year data by April 15, 2021.

All data will be anonymized and aggregated with the hundreds of other craft brewers tracking their monthly resource and cost usage in order to update the newest iteration of the benchmarking tool and to create new metrics and insights to share with all brewers. If COVID-19 prevented you from submitting your 2019 data, we encourage you to do so at this time as well.

To submit, click the “Submit data for BA Benchmarking” on the main menu of your Benchmarking Tool file to create an email submission. Attach a copy of your completed Excel file to the email and submit to benchmarking@brewersassociation.org. Please ensure that your Excel file is attached and that your data is entered for all months for the KPI’s you have selected to track. Missing months will invalidate the dataset.

Tracking resource use is the first step in reducing resource use. Used together, the Benchmarking Tool and the Benchmarking Reports help brewers decrease the use of natural resources and increase brewery profitability, while helping to ensure the availability of the resources needed to continue to brew great beer.

Brewers who have not yet downloaded the BA Sustainability Benchmarking Tool can access the latest version now:

New users can choose from a basic version, which tracks 14 key performance indicators (KPIs), or an advanced version, which allows tracking of up to 39 KPIs. Most BA members will only need the functionality of the basic version.

Any questions should be directed to benchmarking@brewersassociation.org.
