Boulder, CO – The Brewers Association (BA) Board of Directors recently approved the formation of the Brewers Association Political Action Committee. The new political action committee, known also as the Brewers Association PAC, will support candidates seeking election to Congress.

The Brewers Association PAC is a federal PAC created to support candidates for federal office, regardless of political affiliation, who understand and champion small and independent breweries. The Brewers Association PAC will also work to support members of the Senate Finance Committee, the House Ways and Means Committee, and the House and Senate Small Brewers Caucuses.

“As the only national trade association representing the more than 7,300 craft brewers, the bipartisan BA-sponsored PAC will support the diversity of interests of our members and the greater beer and brewing community,” commented Bob Pease, president and CEO, Brewers Association.

Under federal election law, Brewers Association PAC can only accept personal contributions from individual employees of BA member breweries. BAPAC cannot accept corporate funds.

The BAPAC will be governed by a PAC board composed of Brewers Association brewery members.

More information about the Brewers Association PAC can be found here. Members with questions about the new Brewers Association PAC are encouraged to contact Katie Marisic, federal affairs manager, Brewers Association.
