State guilds work tirelessly to promote and protect their local breweries. At the 2016 Great American Beer Festival, guilds had a chance to educate attendees about the work they do, while offering unique samples from breweries in their states. This year’s pavilion featured 190 unique beers from 174 different breweries over the four sessions.
Guilds that participated in the 2016 pavilion:
- Arizona Craft Brewers Guild
- Colorado Brewers Guild
- Connecticut Brewers Guild
- Georgia Craft Brewers Guild
- Hawaiian Craft Brewers Guild
- Idaho Brewers United
- Illinois Craft Brewers Guild
- Brewers of Indiana Guild
- Iowa Brewers Guild
- Michigan Brewers Guild
- Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild
- Montana Brewers Association
- New York State Brewers Association
- North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild
- Ohio Craft Brewers Association
- Oregon Brewers Guild
- Rhode Island Brewers Guild
- Texas Craft Brewers Guild
- Vermont Brewers Association
- Washington Beer Commission
Attendees were encouraged to become beer activists and interact with guild leaders with the Protect Craft Passport. To receive passport stamps and a free koozie, attendees would email their Members of Congress to ask them to support small and independent breweries and then visit guild leaders’ booths.
