What’s your current position at your brewery, and how did you get started in the craft brewing industry?

I’m the founder and CEO [of Grapevine Craft Brewery in Grapevine, Texas]. I started out in my garage as a homebrewer.

What’s new at Grapevine Craft Brewery?

We’re in our first year and finishing out our year-round offerings. Next up is our Oatmeal Stout and IPA.

What’s the best part of being a part of the craft brewing community?

I love the people. More often than not, people in the craft beer community are genuine and not pretentious. That’s refreshing.

What do you like to do in your time away from the brewery?

I’ve got two- and one-year-old boys. When I’m home, it’s 100 percent family time for me.

What’s your favorite food and beer pairing?

Rye Pale Ale and BBQ. Come on, I live in Texas. You know this!

What’s your biggest accomplishment unrelated to your job?

My boys.

What’s your favorite beer that your brewery does not produce?

Odell Myrcenary Double IPA.

What’s the most memorable travel destination at which you’ve had a chance to sample the local beer?

Hanging out with Ted Rice over at Marble Brewery in ABQ. Great beer and great people.
