The Brewers Association (BA) Export Development Program (EDP) is planning market activities in Vancouver, British Columbia.  These activities are likely to include an American craft beer-paired dinner, seminars and participation in the Vancouver’s Hopscotch Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia.  The dates are November 15 – 21, 2010.

To participate in this event you must be a member of the EDP. If you would like information on joining the EDP, please contact Mark Snyder at mark@brewersassociation.org

This is a very popular show that sells out quickly and this year they have added a third night.  In addition there is a well attended separate industry trade event on November 18th which attracts British Columbia Liquor Distribution Board officials, bar and restaurant owners, staff, media, etc.  The BA will be looking to have a prominent presence at this event.  We will be purchasing multiple booth spaces at the festival to create an “American craft beer pavilion”.  But the number of spaces we order depends on brewery interest.

A commitment to participate is required by Monday, May 17th.  We encourage brewery representation as this will enhance the BA presence at the booth, dinner and seminars.  However, we are also prepared to have staff pour your beers if you are unable to attend.  With this in mind, we are requesting brewery feedback to the following questions:

1.    Would your brewery have interest in participating in this show?
2.    If yes, do you plan to send a brewery representative or beer only?
3.    If a representative will attend, would they be interested in being part of a seminar we host at the show?

There is no charge to participate.  Breweries will be responsible for their own travel to the event, for product donation, and for sample shipment to Boulder or directly to a designated warehouse in the Northwest USA.  The BA will cover other transportation costs to the show and all show, seminar, and dinner costs.

Please email Mark Snyder (mark@brewersassociation.org) by Monday, May 17th, 2010 or sooner, with a statement of interest if you believe your brewery would like to participate in the Vancouver’s Hopscotch Festival in November
